If your teacher assigned you a tutoring session, you can easily access their request using the link they have sent you.

*Please note: You can use the link provided by your teacher to connect with a tutor multiple times.*

  1. Once you're logged into your Pear Deck Tutor account, you will see a message on your homepage that says 'Your teacher has assigned you tutoring!'. Click the green 'Ready for a live session!' button to connect with a tutor.

If you don't see the message on your home-screen, you can find the assigned session in your notifications.

Click the Notification Bell at the upper-right corner of the screen. The bell icon will pulse if you receive a new notification. Then, from the Notifications drop-down, click the 'Your teacher has assigned you tutoring!' to connect with a tutor.

  2. Once you've submitted your tutoring request, you'll be transported to the Lesson Space. You can play a game using the 'Prep & Play' tab while you wait to connect with a tutor. It can take up to 5 minutes, but please stay close to your computer while you wait.

Sometimes, there's no tutor available right away. If that happens, we encourage you to re-submit your tutoring request by clicking on 'Continue searching'.

3. You'll be alerted in the Lesson Space once you are connected with a tutor!
