Tutors can receive email notifications letting them know when a student has messaged them for help. Tutors will get one email per hour if they have received a new direct message from a student, meaning if multiple students DM a tutor within the hour, they will all be compiled into a single email.
How to enable Email Notifications for student direct messages:
To enable Desktop Notifications, go to “My Account” and click on “Notifications.” Check the box “When students send you direct messages,” and you’re all set!
To turn the feature off, simply uncheck the box.
How to respond to Email Notifications:
To respond to a student, click "Reply to Student" in the email you received, and you'll be sent to the last DM you received on Pear Deck Tutor.
